This is my first time to write a contribution to our blog.  As the use of TyeDee Bin has grown, I thought it would be good to let our website users know about the story of TyeDee Bin.

In 1988 he sold about 1/2 a dozen TyeDee Bins from his Bay St. address in Gravenhurst, and the sales increased from there.  Clearly, he did show the value in his design as in the next 16 years he had sold over 1,000 TyeDee Bins to home and cottage owners around Muskoka and Central Ontario, with not much more of a marketing campaign than displaying TyeDee Bin in his driveway, having his phone number on the TyeDee Bin label, and the tried and true "Word of Mouth" referal.  Almost all of the bins that have been sold in the over 20 years since are still in service, and are meeting their two objectives: 

They are very effective at keeping bears and other nuisance wildlife out of people's garbage, and they are safe and easy to work with for both the home owner and the waste collector.
